About The Well Vetted

Wellness gear, independently vetted. Honest comparisons to help you buy smarter.

Why The Well Vetted exists

I started The Well Vetted because I was frustrated. Every time I researched a product online, I found the same thing: sponsored content, fake reviews, and "best of" lists that seemed to favor whoever paid the most.

I wanted something different. A site that actually helps people make informed decisions, built on honest vetting, transparent methodology, and recommendations earned on merit, not marketing budgets.

The focus is wellness equipment because the right device can genuinely improve how you feel. My job is to help you find which one that is.

Who's behind The Well Vetted

I'm Alexander Liendo, founder and editor of The Well Vetted. I spent 15 years as an executive chef and food and beverage director before a meniscus tear and burnout pushed me toward cold plunges and saunas. What began as recovery became this: vetting the gear so you do not have to guess.

What I stand for

Independent Research

I buy the products I vet and publish honest findings. No brand influences the picks.

User-First Recommendations

Every recommendation is based on what is best for you, not what pays the highest commission.

Transparent Affiliate Model

The Well Vetted earns a commission when you buy through its links. It never affects the picks.

How The Well Vetted makes money

The Well Vetted earns money through affiliate partnerships. When you click a link on the site and make a purchase, it may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

That model funds free, independent content. It also runs on strict rules:

  • Commissions never influence a pick or a recommendation.
  • Products get vetted whether or not an affiliate program exists.
  • Affiliate relationships are disclosed on every page.
  • Editorial decisions stay fully independent of any partnership.

If a product is not good, I will say so, even when recommending it would pay.

How I vet

Every product goes through the same process:

  1. Research: I study specs, features, and owner feedback across multiple sources.
  2. Analysis: I compare each product against its competitors on objective criteria.
  3. Hands-on: When possible, I get direct experience with the product.
  4. Verification: I check claims, warranties, and pricing before anything is published.
  5. Update: I revisit the picks regularly to keep them current.

The goal is to give you what you need to make the right choice for your situation, not to push you toward any particular product.
