Sun Home was founded in 2021 by Adam Fischer and Tyler Fish, two sales leads at Impact.com who saw a category split between local pool stores selling sauna kits to affluent buyers and overseas Amazon listings selling unreliable units. They self-funded with $400,000 in sales-commission savings and skipped venture capital. By 2024 the company was at $25M revenue with 50+ employees, all from San Diego. What Sun Home builds that nobody else does

Sun Home is the only brand we vet that builds across the full home-wellness stack: infrared and traditional saunas, cold plunges with dedicated ice-making mode, red light therapy panels, and the Eclipse and Pod hybrid cabins that combine full-spectrum infrared with built-in red light panels in one enclosure. The Pro Apex cold plunge reaches 32°F and produces floating ice on a next-generation cooling system. The Vertical Plunge does the same on an inflatable platform that stores away when not in use. Manufacturing happens through unnamed OEM partners rather than a vertically integrated factory. The warranty is not transferable, so one resale and the coverage is gone. Cold plunges carry a 1-year warranty against the 2-year warranty offered by Plunge. Returns require 25% restocking plus customer-paid freight in both directions.
